A massive thunderstorm could
not stop this year's golf tournament from being a great
success! The chamber would like to thank those who golfed
for braving the weather with us and having fun even though
the weather did not work out in our favor. Next year we
will have to have two weather chairmen.
We would like to thank our

to this event. The tournament could not have been possible
without the great support of our membership. The chamber

RIBBON CUTTING

Caesars
FLORISSANT, MO -
Little Caesars celebrated their grand opening on June
8 by hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony. Little Caesars
is located at 2632 N. Lindbergh Blvd. in Florissant. They
are open Monday through Sunday for both lunch and dinner.

cut the ceremonial ribbon along with representatives of
the Greater North County Chamber of Commerce and the City

Legislative Update & July Legislative
Meeting
 In
February we held a joint Legislative Reception
that addressed some of the key issues facing our
region and state. Here is an update on the passage
of HB191, which focuses on key economic development
legislation.
The bill includes:
-
An increase in
the cap of the Missouri Quality Jobs program
from $60 million to $80 million, a proven program
that provides tax credits to employers who create
new jobs that are at higher-than-average wages
and include health care benefits.
-
An increase
in the cap on the New Markets Tax Credit program
from $15 million to $25 million. This tax credit
provides incentives from capital formation for
small businesses located in low-income and under
served communities.
-
Expansion of
the state's job training programs to include
pre-employment training.
-
The elimination
of the corporate franchise tax to companies
with assets of $10 million or less.
-
Additionally,
the bill contained a provision to institute
a cap for the first time on the Missouri Historic
Preservation Tax Credit program at $140 million,
a decision that dominated much of the discussion
during the final week of the legislative session.

LUNCH
N' PUNCH & LUNCH PASS CARDS
 The
Greater North County Chamber of Commerce's Ambassador
Committee & Staff have come up with a way to reward
you for coming to membership luncheon meetings.
Each member will receive a Lunch N' Punch card in
April. Each time you attend a luncheon meeting your
card will be punched. Once you have attended seven
meetings you will be entered in a drawing for many
fabulous prizes. One lucky winner will receive free
lunches for an entire year! Other prizes include
restaurant gift certificates, gas cards, Arbonne
International products, a bird feeder and much more!
We
have many exciting speakers and presentations planned
for this year. So mark you calendars for April 15
and get your card punched! Also, the chamber will
be selling a Lunch Pass card. This card allows you
to pre-pay for all your luncheon meetings for the
entire year and enters you twice in the drawing.
The price for the card is only $165. We would be
happy to bill you or your company for your lunch
pass. Plus as an added bonus you will able to bypass
the long lines getting into the meeting each month.
