SHOP CHAMBER FIRST! SHOP CHAMBER FIRST! I f y o u ’ v e heard it once, you’ve heard it a thousand times from your chamber. I’ve said it, your past chairpersons have said it, the chamber staff has said it, and your fellow members have said it. It is quite simple, but at the same time it is something that we sometimes forget to do.
Why not support the businesses that have decided to be a part of the community just as you have? In times when every business is making every effort possible to get that new customer, to get that additional sale, don’t you want your fellow chamber members calling you and giving you the opportunity to make the business deal? Well, we all need to remember that when we are shopping for a product or service.
Looking for a place to have lunch or dinner? There are 25 members listed in the chamber directory from which to choose. Mary and I enjoyed a relaxing lunch at Helfer’s Deli this past week, and of course the dessert selection was phenomenal. Need a gift for someone? Are they a golfer? I’m going to Golf Club Liquidators on St. Francois St. for a dozen “Callaway Hot” golf balls as a birthday gift. Does your home air conditioner need service or replacement? There are so many local businesses listed in our chamber directory that it can be your “one stop shopping.” Do business with a chamber member! Do business with the person that sat across the table from you at the last chamber luncheon! Do business with the person you met for the first time at the Business after Hours. It’s that easy.
