In some cases, a device may not provide the app with a storage location which the app understands, in which case the external storage path may not appear on the Root Folder dialog window. Some device vendors do not configure their device correctly, causing the device to present their external storage device in a way that the app cannot see.

The options you see will depend on the version of Android which is on your device. It can be an advantage if your device has an SD card slot as it allows you to extend your storage capacity in a similar way to adding an extra hard drive to your PC.
